This drill is an extension of 6-1-6. It is more challenging as you have more strokes to take before you breathe in. Count to 6 quicker rather than have a cheeky breathe in between if you can. This is like learning a new dance. Take it slowly and control your arms so you can pause as you inhale. Then when you transition to swimming freestyle remember that lovely long feel and support you have from your lead arm as you inhale. This drill helps with timing, balance, breathing, head position and reducing drag. WE LOVE IT.
